My grandpa has had eight strokes in the past year. The last stroke was so bad that he lost the ability to speak. The first time I went to see him, he was able to say my name. He’d been practicing with my grandma so he could say all of his grandkids’ names. His unfailing love and dedication GMH

I am an anorexic. I go weeks without eating. I usually come up with an excuse. But today at lunch, I ate a double helping of pizza. Why? A popular boy told me I was too pretty to die of starvation and bought me the food. His love and caring GMH.

My grandmother’s grave sits atop a very steep hill. As we helped my 83 year old grandfather up the hill with his can, some people said it wasn’t a very good idea. I was the only one who heard him say he would crawl to her grave if he had to. His love gives me hope :)

We are teachers and we were having Dad day at school. One little girl came up to the front with no father by her side. All the other dads judged the father because of how inconsiderate he must be not to be there. The little girl explained to the crowd that her daddy would be there on that special day, but heaven’s just too far. Her courage GMH.
